I do realise that I am a bit late with the news, but Jevan is now a 3 year old boy. He had his birthday on April 9th and had a party at Rocky's on April 10th with his friends. Grandma, Grandad Roger and Great Grandad Hill came down from Liverpool for a few days to be here during his birthday too and we all went out to see the dinosaur exhibition at Paradise Park in Newhaven on his birthday. Jev really liokes dinosaurs.
Jevan's main present was a red Fire Engine Push bike. Luckily the weather has been pretty good here in Eastbourne over the past couple of weeks and we managed to get out and go along the seafront with Hal and Jev on their bikes. He also got a splendid Liverpool strip with his name on the back. Photos of Jevan's third birthday are now in the gallery if you'd like to pop along there now.
The other major event post Easter has been Hallum starting school full time and Jevan starting Nursery School. Prior to Easter Hallum was only going to school in the mornings. Now he is a fully fledged full time attendee. He's been knackered this week as a result! Jevan seemed to enjoy his first day at Nursery although he did cry a couple of times. Once when he thought he was getting told off and another when the group didn't sing 'dinosaur' songs when he wanted them to! He decided not to join in with the singing as a protest. He's going to be trouble when he gets older. There are photos of Jev going to nursery in the photo gallery.
Finally we continue to slowly get the decorating done. The big job this week was sanding the floor in the hallway. I did it just before the boys Grandad and Nana Lynn came to visit for the day on Sunday. So consequently the house was full of sawdust for most of the day. But the floor looks nice. It needs another sanding to get it nice and smooth and then we'll varnish it. It's taking a long time this decorating and we're only on the first bit. Every other room in the house still to do!

I think it is about time to say that Jevan has officially mastered using the potty to have a wee. I don't think we have mastered poohs yet but it'll come soon. Today I really noticed for the first time proper Jevan's ability to recognise when he needed to sit on the potty. Of course he has done it before but not with the consistency (if you'll pardon the pun) that he has today.
Wedding plans are coming on. Only two weeks to go. I have my stag night all planned for Sunday 17th. Squash in Peacehaven, 10-pin bowling in Brighton Marina and then food at Genghis Khan's Mongolian Barbecue in Brighton. The ceremony in almost sorted out. We are having some people to say a few words after the official ceremony and we might have a song too. Oh and we also booked the weather today. We arranged for it to be about 75F most of the day with occassional cloud cover when everyone gets too hot.

General News: Screaming

Debbie has been working a lot recently in the evenings for the taxi company and I have been looking after the boys, making their tea and putting them to bed. Unfortunately Jevan has been really trying of late. He is generally fine until it's actually time to get in bed and lie down. He seems to have an issue with the milk. It's either too hot or too cold or he says he wants to make it, when he did so only a couple of minutes before.
It's really got to me lately and I have lost my temper with him. I try to remain calm and tell h8im that if he isn't satisfied with his milk he will have to leave it, and I say goodnight and close the door. But he just screams the house down and bangs on his bedroom door. He wakes Hallum up and generally drives me up the wall. Last night I put them to bed a 7:30 and it too Jevan and hour and a half of creaming until he cried himself to sleep.
I did go up to him twice in that time, but any more often and I would have blown my top. So I felt it best to leave him to it. Debbie and I do have a theory that it might be the change from full cream milk to semi skimmed that has done it. But then he does drink his milk in the mornings with no problem. Very strange and highly upsetting when you're having to deal with it. That's parenting I guess.
